Created by weaver Ruth Thoem and farmer Debbie Ziraldo, these one-of-a-kind Thorndale Scarfs are made from Ziraldo Alpaca’s fibre in Thorndale and handwoven by RUTH Handwovens in Burlington. The alpaca fibre was spun at Legacy Lane Fibre Mill in New Brunswick, where a small percentage of merino was added to the yarn. These scarves are woven in three distinct natural colours.  They are scrunchy and luscious. If the pictured scarf has been sold, just contact us. We can weave a similar one in short order.

*Due to milling capacity available in Ontario, the Upper Canada Fibreshed made an exception for fibre milled outside of Ontario. The mill added a small amount of imported merino due to a lack of Canadian alternatives in a viable price point.
