Once we started raising sheep, the first shearing had me addicted to fibre. I felt I had to do something with this and learned how to process the wool by hand.

I started selling a few products at farmers markets like wool dryer balls, felted soaps and not much else.

Over time I visited a couple of mills, with my husband in tow, and we decided that this would be our retirement plan.

We purchased a property in Nestleton (10 minutes east of Port Perry) in 2016 to accommodate the planned mill and now have built the mill and it is operating. We can currently produce rovings and batts and focus on farmgate sales for the producer to add value to their wool by using their fibre to make insoles and other products that they may like to sell.

I have expanded my own wool products to include felt balls coasters, trivets, rugs, insoles and handwarmers and many more items.

We also offer classes in hand spinning, drop spindles and soap felting.

Fibre processing pricing for wool is $15.00 per pound incoming weight and alpaca at $17.00
