Sharlene Young-Bolen has a focus is on historic knitting pattern research and reproductions. She is a knitting hobbyist with an interest in needlework history & a love of natural fibres  and just completed the production of a knitting kit (a first as a new knitting designer), the Huron County Wrister. The kit is inspired by a pair of knitted gloves held in the collection of the Huron County Museum & featuring the ‘Colours of Huron’, a naturally dyed palette provided by FACTS gallery and using wool from Steele Wool Farm located near Blyth where I live.
