Patricia Gillies provides one-on-one and small-group learn-to-spin courses, and she leads workshops in related topics, such as drop spindling and fibre prep.

Patricia is a graduate, with distinction, from the Master Spinner program at Olds College in Alberta. She is accomplished in preparing, spinning and dyeing a broad range of sheep breeds – from downs to longwools – and in working with such fibres as alpaca, llama, bison, cashmere, angora and flax.

Patricia has been an active member of the Guelph Guild of Handweavers and Spinners since relocating to Ontario from Saskatchewan in 2015. She is currently co-chair of the Guelph guild’s monthly spinning program. Patricia regularly participates in spinning demos and has spun in sheep-to-shawl events.
